Located in Buckingham Courthouse. Serving all of central Virginia.
Agrarian Veterinary Services is a full-service, mobile farm animal veterinary practice. When you set up an appointment, we come to you and do the work on your farm. We realize animals don’t usually get sick on a schedule, so we’re available for emergencies every day—nights, weekends, and holidays included. If you live in Albemarle, Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Powhatan, Nelson, or other county nearby, when you call, we come!
We treat cattle, horses, donkeys, mules, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, swine, poultry, and just about any other farm or food animal you can name. We do not treat cats or dogs, but we’d be happy to recommend a companion animal veterinarian in your area.

We come to you!
We’re an exclusively mobile practice serving the counties of Albemarle, Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Powhatan, Nelson, and others throughout central Virginia. Our administrative office is located in the historic Dr. Tucker House, situated in Buckingham Courthouse, Virginia. We don’t see patients at the office, and, generally, we find this makes patients and clients a whole lot happier.
You call. We come.
Dr. Lincoln Montgomery-Rodgers, DVM
A U. S. Army veteran, Dr. Lincoln earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural science from Penn State and a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Virginia Tech before opening the practice. He loves the way Virginians care about their animals and is never happier than when he’s working side-by-side with farmers, often elbow-deep in muck. After 15 years in Virginia, he considers it home.
Dr. Aminata Kalley, DVM
A native of Philadelphia, Dr. Kalley earned a Bachelor of Science in animal and poultry sciences from Virginia Tech and a doctorate in veterinary medicine from University of Missouri. Once the muleteer in charge of Mizzou’s team mascots, this proud Hokie has returned to Virginia for good. Farm animals are her passion, and she hopes to find the perfect location for her own farm soon.
Debbie Higginbotham, OFFICE MANAGER
The nicest person you'll ever talk to on the phone, Debbie’s fascinated by all things animal and medical. A former dental hygienist and lifelong cattle farmer, she’ll make sure you get the help you need.
Dawn Miller, LVT
A graduate of Blue Ridge Community College and licensed veterinary technician, Dawn does it all, from repro to restocking. When she’s not in the field, she’s behind the microscope running our in-house laboratory and testing services.
Deshaun Forbes, Vet Assistant
Our staff cowboy, Deshaun loves beef cattle and horses more than just about anything. He can generally be found operating our portable equipment, syncing cattle, or working with our patients using low=stress handling techniques.
